Latin America Will Get To Know Quito’s Ofeer For Events And Congresses
Fiexpo Panama 2022 will be the setting for at least 150 business meetings with event organizers from the region.
The City Council, through Quito Tourism, maintains its strategy to position the Capital of the Center of the World as the ideal destination for events, congresses and meetings of international stature.
Within this framework, from June 13 to 16, in Panama, Quito will participate along with 6 companies from the meetings industry in Fiexpo, where B2B meetings will be held with at least 150 event organizers, international corporations, representatives of scientific and professional associations, among other organizations seeking venues for their events.
Representatives of Quito Turismo, Hilton Colón Quito, Kleintours, Andean Travel Company, DMC, Mytourec and Ecuaultimate will be able to show hosted buyers, or those responsible for organizing congresses, conventions and incentive trips in different regions of the world, the offer of our city that includes more than 115 thousand square meters, in different venues and establishments, to host all kinds of events.
Quito’s participation in Fiexpo will take place in a space together with the Ministry of Tourism and the promotion offices of Guayaquil, Manta and Cuenca. In addition, the Capital of the Center of the World will participate in Fiexpo’s Political Forum, where government strategies to boost meeting tourism in their cities and countries will be discussed; and in academic events with international experts to learn about the latest trends in the industry, which will then be replicated in the Metropolitan District.
In this way, Quito Tourism reinforces the positioning of the Metropolitan District as a venue for international events and one of the preferred destinations for the MICE segment (conventions and meetings tourism), as could be seen in Fiexpo Workshop Quito, which took place from May 3 to 5 in our city.
Quito has more than 70 locations for holding events:
• 17 heritage sites
• 13 rural estates
• 14 metropolitan parks with more than 200 hectares of green areas
• 10 contemporary venues
• 16 halls in 5- and 4-star hotels
• 3 convention centers: Centro de Exposiciones Quito, Quorum and Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito, the largest and most modern in the country.
